The Upper Pottsgrove Township Police Department responded to a 911 call shortly after midnight on August 23, 2026, reporting a possible break-in. Pysher had been celebrating a friend’s 21st birthday and was walking to continue the evening at another friend’s house when he took a wrong turn, his mother Erin Pysher told Fox News Digital. The college senior knocked on the back door of the wrong home, believing it belonged to his friend and asking to be let inside.

Homeowners, unaware of the mix-up, called police to report an attempted burglary. When officers arrived, they found Pysher at the rear of the residence.
